English grammar,
taught the way a tutor would.

Brieflex pairs you with Emma, your AI English teacher. Short daily lessons, smart homework, exam-style tests — built around the grammar you actually need to fix.

The method

Four steps. Repeated until grammar is reflex.

Brieflex isn't a streak app dressed up as a teacher. It's a complete grammar curriculum, with the same loop you'd get from a real tutor — lesson, homework, test, exam — built into your phone.

01
Lesson
Learn the rule, in 8 minutes
Each unit opens with a focused explanation and 4–6 short exercises. Multiple choice, build-a-sentence, type the answer — never the same drill twice.
02
Homework
Practise it the next day
Homework is built from the rules you've just learned, mixed with what you wrestled with before. Same exercise widgets, harder choices.
03
Test
Check yourself, weekly
A weekly test pulls the past 7 days into one short check. No new content — only what you should know by now. You see exactly what slipped.
04
Exam
Sit a full mock when ready
When the level looks solid, an exam-style mock — IELTS, TOEFL or CAE format — gives you a grade and a clear weakness map for the next month.
Why grammar

Vocabulary fades. Grammar is what stays.

Most apps teach you 50 new words a day and zero structure. We do the opposite: a strict grammar curriculum, with the words showing up to serve the rule.

Grammar-first, always
No more "guess from context". Every lesson opens with the rule, in plain English, then the practice.
Graded like a real classroom
A, B, C, D — you get a grade after each exercise, lesson, test and exam. No vanity streaks.
8–12 minute lessons
Designed for the bus. Open the app, finish a unit, close the app. Repeat tomorrow.

Want to work through it together?

Yes please. Honestly it still confuses me.

Try this one: "I ___ in London for three years." Is it finished, or still going?

Meet Emma

Your AI teacher. Patient, specific, available at 7am.

Emma is the second half of Brieflex. She knows what you got wrong yesterday, what you keep avoiding, and what to drill next. Stuck on a rule? Ask her in plain language. She replies in plain language.

  • Remembers your weak spots
She tracks every wrong answer across lessons, homework and tests.
  • Explains, doesn’t lecture
Two-sentence answers. Examples first. No grammar-textbook fog.
  • Picks your next lesson
When the curriculum hits a fork, Emma chooses the path that fits your level.
Research-backed

A curriculum drawn from decades of applied linguistics.

Brieflex's grammar syllabus is built on methodology from the world's leading institutions for English language teaching. Same structure your tutor would pull from — minus the tutor's waiting list.

FAQ

Things people ask.

Brieflex works from A2 up to C1. After a short level check during onboarding, the curriculum starts at your level — so a B1 user never sees beginner lessons, and a C1 user goes straight to nuance work and exam practice.
Emma reads your full lesson history: every exercise, grade, hesitation. So when you ask "why is this wrong?", her answer is tied to the specific mistake you just made, not a generic explanation. She also knows which rule you should be drilling next.
Yes — exam tracks are part of Pro. We use the official task formats (Cambridge English for CAE, ETS-style sections for TOEFL, IELTS Academic). At the end of a track you sit a full mock and get a band/score estimate plus a weakness map.
8–12 minutes for a lesson. Homework adds another 4–6. We deliberately keep it shorter than Duolingo because attention dies after 15 minutes — and grammar work needs your attention.
No fake guilt. Your streak is just a streak. If you miss a day, Emma rebalances the plan so you don’t fall off the curriculum. Grades stay, streak resets — that’s it.
English only, for now. We chose to go deep on one language rather than wide and shallow on many.
